Navajo Tacos Recipe

Recipe by: Luluxox
Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Navajo tacos just use the good chili and beans that you now make.

Make dough for homemade potato bread.
When dough is ready to pan out, you pull a chunk off (depending on how big you want to make) usually about the size of a fist.
On a floured board pat the chunk of dough out kind of flat (shape doesn't need to be uniform), pat to about 1/2 inch thick, make a hole in the dough with your finger so when the dough is frying the hot oil can get through to the top.
Cooking oil should be hot enough to fry a French fry in, about 350 degrees.
When bread is golden brown turn over to the other side and do the same thing on the other side.
When both sides are done, drain onto paper towels and put the fried bread on a dish or platter and cover with chili and beans; top with lettuce, onions, diced tomatoes and shredded Colby or longhorn cheese.
Can be served with salsa or sour cream.
Mummmmmmmm good. A very good winter meal all in one.
